Belt tensioner assembly is a spring-loaded belt drive component made with a cast metal housing, internal tensioning mechanism, pulley mounting point, bearing-supported pulley system, and mounting brackets designed for Toyota engine accessory drive systems.
What it does:
The belt tensioner assembly applies constant spring-loaded pressure to the engine drive belt to maintain proper belt tension, alignment, and contact across the crankshaft, alternator, water pump, A/C compressor, and other accessory pulleys.
Where it is:
The belt tensioner assembly is mounted on the outer front side of the engine block beside the drive belt, near the alternator and crankshaft pulley area.
